What Is It

What Is Hometown Heroes Down Payment Assistance (DPA)?

  • Structured as a 0% interest, deferred (non-amortizing) second mortgage.
  • Repaid only when the home is sold, refinanced, or the first mortgage is paid off.
  • Not a grant — the full original amount is repaid, just with no interest and no monthly payment.
  • Pairs with FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional first mortgages.

*The principal, interest and MI payment on a $200,000 30-year Fixed-Rate Loan at 6.500% and 95% loan-to-value (LTV) is $1,310.81.
